You can reach Apulia region (in particular Bari) with different transportation means:

BY AIRPLANE

Bari can be easily reached both from the international airports of Bari and Brindisi.
The international Airport of Bari also called “Aeroporto Karol Wojtyła” is located in the north-western part of the city of Bari. The airport offers train, bus, and taxi services for connection with other localities (see the location and transportation modes here).

The airport is about 20 minutes from the city center to which is connected by train, bus, and taxi.

The Aeroporto Karol Wojtyła is almost 16 km far from the Nicolaus Hotel.
There are different options for reaching the Nicolaus Hotel from the airport and vice-versa.

Option A – FREE SHUTTLE OF THE NICOLAUS HOTEL

Free shuttle service from and to Bari airport upon availability at scheduled times, to be booked at least 24 hours before.

Option B – TRAIN + CITY BUS

From the Airport take the Ferrotramviaria train service and get off at Bari Centrale (Bari Central Station).

Option C – TAXI

From the airport to the venue: average price € 25,00

Bari is connected by high-speed trains to Rome (4 hours), Florence (6 hours), and Milan (7,5 hours). The main railway station of Bari is Bari Centrale. The schedule of all high-speed trains is available on the Trenitalia website. Tickets can be purchased online.

At the central railway station (P.zza Moro) take an AMTAB city bus:

BY TRAIN

BY CAR

It is possible to reach Bari through car from other Italian cities but also from other European countries, driving along the highways.

Bari is connected by ships with different locations.

In particular, the Port of Bari is connected with Croatia, Greece, and Albania.

The main companies offering connections to the various countries are Superfast Ferries, Ventouris Ferries, Grimaldi Group, Adria Ferries, Ventouris Ferries, Grandi Navi Veloci, Jadrolinija.
